Prerequisites for all courses are the appropriate minimum age, proof/declaration of swimming ability, a declaration of good health and, if required, a medical certificate from a diving physician (see here).

Beginner courses

Course objective
This first dive is designed to show you the beauty of the underwater world and the ease with which you can move underwater. Discover Scuba Diving is the perfect choice and a great way to experience your first breath underwater. After an introduction to the necessary diving equipment and the 'do's&don'ts', you will experience your first shallow water dive with an instructor. No two people are the same, so we personalise the process and your experience according to your wishes and comfort level.
 
 
Requirements
  • Minimum age: 8 years (with parental consent)

You will need swimwear, towels, a change of dry clothes, drinking water and a good mood.
 
Course duration
You should plan about 2 - 3 hours in total for a try dive.
 
Course content
The aim is to familiarise the try diver with the basics of diving in theory and practice. This includes pressure equalisation when diving with scuba (self-contained underwater breathing apparatus), breathing when diving with scuba, the diving equipment used during the try dive and the organisation/procedure of the dive.

Course objective
In the i.a.c. Scuba Diver course we combine practical training sessions with personalised theory lessons. You will gain all the skills and experience you need to become a certified i.a.c. Scuba Diver. The course is designed for teenagers from the age of 15 and adults and is suitable as an intermediate level of training.

Course content
Theoretical training: Equipment, physics of diving, dive tables and dive computers, medicine, first aid, CPR, diving environment and practical environmental training (pool and open water): Equipment assembly, descent and ascent, buoyancy control, pressure equalisation, mask blowing, regulator recovery and much more...

i.a.c. Scuba Divers may dive under supervision to a recommended maximum depth of 12 metres. Two additional qualifying open water dives are required to achieve the i.a.c. Open Water Diver rating.

Course objective
The Open Water Diver course combines practical training sessions with personalised theory tuition. This will give you all the skills and experience you need to become an i.a.c. OWD certified diver. The course is open to teenagers and adults from the age of 15. Your "driving licence" to start your journey into the diving experience.

Course objective
In the CMAS * / Bronze course we combine practical training units with personal theory lessons. In this way, you will gain all the skills and experience you need to become CMAS * certified at the end of the course. The course is aimed at young people aged 15 and over and adults.

CMAS * divers are allowed to dive anywhere in the world. The recommended maximum depth is 20m.

Advanced courses

Course objective
Continue your education and explore new areas of diving. While the Open Water Diver course was self-oriented, the AOWD course focuses on diving skills. You will complete 3 full specialities: Navigation and Deep Diving, plus another speciality of your choice. The skills you learn will make diving safer and more enjoyable and bring you one step closer to becoming an i.a.c. Master Diver.
Requirements

  • minimum of 9 dives at certification

Course duration
You should plan around 3 - 4 days for the course. In addition to learning the theory, you must also complete the 3 specialties. This requires 5 dives.

Course content
Specialty Navigation: you will learn the basics of natural orientation and technical orientation, e.g. with the help of a compass.

Specialty Deep Diving: you learn how to dive safely at depth (up to max. 40m) and delve deeper into the subject of decompression.

As well as another specialty of your choice (e.g. Perfect Boyancy, Nitrox, Night Diving, Advanced First Aid and much more)

Course objective
On this course the focus is already on other divers. You expand your knowledge and experience. Master Divers learn to look after the safety and well-being of others in addition to their own experience.

Course objective
The Dive Leader is the highest level as a recreational diver and the “stepping stone” to becoming a diving instructor. This level of training entitles you to dive with beginners. Therefore, with the Dive Leader you already take on a high degree of responsibility and are a link between diving instructor and diving student.
Course content
Theoretical training: General, Diving Equipment, Diving Physics, Diving Medicine, Diving Practice: Dive Planning & Management, Diving and the Environment.
 
Practical training: ABC / Freediving - skills, leading groups of beginners, speed controlled ascents without fins, passing the second regulator to a buddy, setting and retrieving buoys, compass diving, night diving, first aid in the event of an aquatic accident.

Course objective
As an i.a.c. Dive Leader Professional you are already a fully-fledged member as an i.a.c. Instructor and train your first diving students. You have the knowledge to independently conduct introductory diving and snorkeling courses. Of course, after this seminar you will also be well prepared to work as a guide worldwide.

Specialties

Course objective
Diving with a higher oxygen content than 21% O2 is now the norm worldwide. You will learn the basics of how to handle oxygen, what limits and dangers there are, how to carry out an air analysis, what technical requirements you should observe and how to dive with Nitrox up to an oxygen content of 40%.

Course objective
Here you will learn the basics of first aid with a diving-specific focus. The focus is on recognizing symptoms and dealing appropriately with injured persons as well as taking the next steps in the rescue chain.

Course objective
Night diving is a very special experience! The bright cones of light in the middle of the dark underwater world give you a sense of excitement and adventure. However, night diving also requires a high level of coordination and skill. Specific skills that this course will teach you.

Course objective
Riding a scooter is great fun and also has the advantage that you can get from A to B much faster underwater. As is so often the case, you also have to learn how to ride a scooter. Course objective

Course content

Practical training: Identifying suitable caves, comparing and evaluating different caves (special features, level of difficulty), planning the dive, safety precautions and group division, careful and slow exploration, recognising possible danger points, buoyancy control in the cave, handling of torches, ropes and reserve cylinders.

Course objective
Here you will learn about the different search methods and aids and the conditions under which search dives can be carried out. You will also be made aware of the dangers of such dives and the importance of protecting the environment.
